At CINÉ, we honor the artistry and creative integrity of every collaborator. Our model is built on shared excellence—and that includes clarity around ownership, rights, and usage.
3.1 Raw Content Ownership
All raw image and video files remain the sole property of the original creator.
3.2 Final Editorial Selects
CINÉ holds a perpetual, exclusive license to all final editorial selects and any additional approved assets, including: Images or clips selected for editorial stories, The Vault, The Anthology, or brand use; Any variations, crops, or edits of those selects.
3.3 Usage Rights
CINÉ may use licensed assets across web, print, marketing, press, merchandise, gallery installations, and paid products.
Contributors may use licensed assets for portfolios, social media, websites, and promotions with proper credit to CINÉ and fellow collaborators. Contributors may not license, sell, or monetize final selects or near-identical edits without CINÉ’s written approval.
3.4 Requests for Additional Assets
CINÉ may request additional selects for branded use. These will fall under the same license terms. CINÉ will not request your full IP or raw archives.
3.5 Credit & Tagging
We credit all collaborators where applicable, and ask the same in return—especially in reposts or press mentions.
3.6 Discretionary Profit Sharing
If your work or story plays a significant and prominent role in a paid CINÉ product (film, book, etc.), we may, at our discretion, offer a gesture of thanks through revenue sharing. This is not guaranteed and does not apply to general participation. Participation in a residency or production does not guarantee profit sharing, royalties, or licensing income unless otherwise agreed in writing.
